Soham (Sabin Sainju)
About the Artist
Soham (Sabin Sainju) had a passion for painting ever since his childhood. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (Painting).
He started exhibiting his paintings for public in Everest Art Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal, and has participated in several group painting exhibitions, installations and performance arts. He eventually debuted his first solo exhibition entitled “Confronting Transitional Period… a Nation-Wide Dilemma…” in 2007 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
In parallel to creating artworks, he has also worked as a Humanitarian/ Human Rights social worker in the capacity of Child Protection/ Resettlement Officer with UNICEF and United Nations High Commissioner (UNHCR) in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Switzerland. He is currently based in New York, USA.
